Inner Circle - original linocut print of birds (single colour)

Inner Circle is a handmade linocut print of three members of the superfamily ‘Certhioidea’ belonging to the infraorder Passerida containing wrens, treecreepers, and nuthatches. I have had the joy of seeing all of these birds locally and have used my own photographs as reference.

Printed onto gorgeous 36gsm Kitakata Cream paper with oil-based ink. This is a sinlge colour print, printed in a very dark brown (almost black, but not quite!). This is a limited edition of just 15 prints.

Linocut is a form of relief printing where sharp tools are used to cut away areas of the lino block. The cut away regions stay white and the remaining block is printed. As prints are made individually by hand, please expect slight variation in detail and colour density, which makes every print unique.
