Puffin Rock - original linocut print

Puffin Rock is a handmade reduction linocut print of three Atlantic Puffins. I've had the joy of seeing all sorts of sea birds including puffins on the Isle of May in Scotland close to where I live. The print is based on my own observations and photographs.

Printed onto 145gsm Zerkall paper with oil-based ink. Metalic ink was used for the fish to give them a subtle shine. A sponge was used to apply ink to the rock so each print is unique! This is a limited edition of just 19 prints.

Paper size - 54 x 38cm

Linocut is a form of relief printing where sharp tools are used to cut away areas of the lino block. The cut away regions stay white and the remaining block is printed. As prints are made individually by hand, please expect slight variation in detail and colour density, which makes every print unique.
